Le Moulin du Radet (behind the tree), built in 1717 and restored in 1760, is one of thirty windmills that stood on the Montmartre hill. It now marks the location of a restaurant named after the only other survivjng windmill in Montmartre, Le Moulin de la Galette.

Moulin Rouge, the Red Windmill, was the birthplace of the French can-can, burning down in 1915. It was made famous most recently by the movie bearing the same name.
On Boulevard de Clichy, not far from Moulin Rouge, is the sex shop strip.
