EUROPE SEPTEMBER 2015- SPAIN

We flew from Lisbon to Madrid, picked up our rental car, and drove 3 hours to Santo Domingo de la Calzada, a cute little town in La Rioja wine region. We stayed in the Parador Santo Domingo Bernardo Fresneda, 

 Our first night in Santo Domingo de la Calzada happened to be Friday night, better known as "Pincho Night". All bars/restaurants serve various tapas, also known as "pinchos", for only 1 euro each. "Pinchos" are easily washed down glasses of "Tinto", red wine, selling for only 2 euros each. The locals come out of the woodwork to socialize, play cards, and have a good time.
